Social Action Groups
The alumni Katif Yisraeli groups continue to work together throughout the year, focusing on carrying out social action-focused activities as well as being our partners and collaborators in driving Tzionei Derech forward
The intense positive experience of Katif Yisraeli continues throughout the year, as each of the groups maintains their involvement with each other and with Tzionei Derech, which provides the groups with a facilitator and assists them in carrying out a variety of meaningful social activities upon their return to the campuses.
In addition, the Katif Yisraeli groups in Tel Hai College, Haifa University, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and the Ben Gurion University of the Negev, are all actively promoting significant and sustainable social projects
Spotlight on: Ha'asam
Ha’Asam is part of a growing trend of cooperative supermarkets, which are owned and operated by the customers themselves. The Katif Yisraeli alumni group at Haifa University has established a cooperative supermarket in the Ziv neighborhood in Haifa. Participants in the program will be able to do all their shopping, from organic locally sourced produce, to items produced by small to medium businesses, and so on, at reasonable prices and in a friendly, communal atmosphere.
"מעין במדבר" הוא פרויקט פרי יוזמתם של קבוצת הבוגרים של 'קטיף ישראלי' בבאר שבע. מטרתו ליצור קשרים משמעותיים בין סטודנטים מהמגזר הבדואי והיהודי ובכך לאפשר דיאלוג כנה ופורה בין שתי הקבוצות. במסגרת הפרויקט סטודנטים יהודים מסייעים לסטודנטים בדואים הלומדים במכינה הקדם-אקדמאית ומעניקים להם כלים שיאפשרו שילוב והצלחה מרביים בצעדיהם הראשונים באקדמיה. במקביל, מתקיים לימוד משותף של התרבות הבדואית והשפה הערבית וכן דיונים בסוגיות מרכזיות בחברה הישראלית.
